Linger was written on two separate occasions in different parts of my life.

The first two verses were written in the middle of high school. Some good friends of mine were starting to drift apart, and it felt like our group was dissolving as a result of it.

The bridge and the last verse were written in the fall of 2018. Those sections of the song reflect on the beginning, and what was happening at the time.

Stay a little longer.
